The Michigan men's basketball team is seemingly collecting infinity stones as it continues to demolish one powerhouse program after another.

With a 28-point win over Villanova, the Wolverines stretched their double-digit winning streak to seven games, including the blowout wins over Auburn (by 30 points) and Gonzaga (by 40 points).

Even with his team's undeniable dominance over the last few weeks, Michigan head coach Dusty May is still expecting more, and that includes from star forward Yaxel Lendeborg, who has led the Wolverines with 15 points per game so far this season.

Yaxel Lendeborg is the monster Dusty May predicted

Beyond his 15 points per game (nothing to ignore), Lendeborg has also averaged 7.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.

"I think he still has another jump to make," May said about Lendeborg. "It's a testament to his intelligence... and his work in getting in the gym and making shots."

Excuse me? May thinks his star player and team leader could be even better? Goodness, the rest of the Big Ten, if not the rest of the country, should be shaking in their boots right now.

Unlike a lot of teams, the Wolverines are set to face a conference opponent well before the new year, as they are scheduled to visit the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday, Dec. 13. With Lendeborg (and the rest of the roster) playing so dominantly, this Big Ten matchup will be a good eye test for the rest of the conference before they face Michigan.

Lendeborg has turned into the dominant player that May knew he could be when he recruited him out of the transfer portal. Lendeborg spent the first two years of his collegiate career at UAB. Since joining the Wolverines in the offseason, he has only gotten better.

With the win over Villanova, the Wolverines improved to 9-0 on the season and don't look like they'll be slowing down anytime soon. Through the first nine games, Michigan outscored its opponents by an average of 28 points and outperformed them by nearly every measurable stat in the book.

The Michigan Wolverines are a scary basketball team this season, and every other team in the nation should take notice.
