After winning the National Championship in the 2023 season, the Michigan football season in 2024 didn't go exactly how fans hoped it would. Losing as many players as they did to the NFL, as well as their head coach, the Wolverines struggled in 2024, but hey, they beat Ohio State in the end.

Now, as Michigan prepares for the 2025 season, Wolverine fans have something very exciting to look forward to, and his name is Bryce Underwood. Underwood flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan in November of 2024 and was the No. 1 overall football recruit, according to ESPN, 247Sports, and On3 Sports.

Underwood is expected to be the starter in 2025, but he is still battling it out for the position with Fresno State transfer Mikey Keene in spring practices.

Bryce Underwood throws dime after dime in Spring Practices

In the videos above in the X (formally known as Twitter) post, fans can see both Underwood and Keene throwing amazing passes to receivers in spring practices. Keene is known to be a good quarterback, starting his career at UCF in Orlando before transferring to Fresno State. However, this is truly the first taste of fans seeing everything Underwood has before the annual Spring Game.

Underwood's throws can be seen in the first and third videos. The star young freshman can be seen hitting receivers in stride, fitting the ball right where it needs to be thrown away from the defense.

The quarterback position was probably one of the weakest positions last season for Michigan after losing JJ McCarthy to the 2024 NFL Draft when he was taken by the Minnesota Vikings. So to now have not just one, but two great quarterbacks in the rotation is making Michigan fans feel spoiled.

Underwood comes to Michigan with a 50-4 career high school record, two State Championships, and even had a 38-game win streak going for his team at one point. He threw for 11,488 yards in high school, 152 passing touchdowns, and added 1,431 rushing yards and 27 rushing touchdowns, making his truly a dual-threat quarterback.

Michigan fans will get to see more of Underwood in the annual Spring Game, which takes place on Saturday, April 19, at Noon at Michigan Stadium. For fans who can't make it to the game, it will also be televised on the Big Ten Network.
