1. Ohio State 7-0
They shut out struggling Wisconsin 34-0 behind quarterback Julian Sayin's 36/42 for 393 yards and a touchdown performance. The Buckeyes are idle this week and have handled whoever has been in front of them thus far this year.
2. Indiana 7-0
The Hoosiers keep proving skeptics wrong with their 38-13 win over Michigan State to move to 2nd in the Top 25 rankings. They also moved up to two this week in the Big Ten Power Rankings. Fernando Mendoza threw for four touchdowns and 332 yards. They face a much-improved UCLA team next week.
3. Oregon 6-1
Oregon is back to its winning ways after destroying Rutgers 56-10. Dante Moore only missed five throws en route to 290 yards and four touchdowns. Next up for the Ducks is Wisconsin.
4. Michigan 5-2
Michigan had three interceptions and sacked the quarterback twice in a 24-7 win. Bryce Underwood threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Marshall carried the ball 25 times for 133 yards and a score to lead the Wolverines. Next up is Michigan State in a night game for the Paul Bunyan Trophy.
5. Illinois 5-2
The Fighting Illini were the only Big Ten team idle this week. They are on the road next against Washington.
6. Iowa 5-2
The Hawkeyes came away with a 25-24 victory over Penn State after trailing 21-10 at one point in the third quarter. Iowa ran the ball 33 times for 245 yards and three scores, led by quarterback Mark Gronowski (nine carries for 130 yards and a touchdown). Iowa faces Minnesota at home this week.
7. USC 5-2
The Trojans fell to Notre Dame 34-24. Every time USC would score, Notre Dame would answer. In the fourth, USC made too many mistakes, which did them in. The Trojans are idle this week.
8. Minnesota 5-2
Minnesota upset then-25th-ranked Nebraska 24-6 this past Friday. The defense was the MVPs in this one, sacking Nebraska's quarterback nine times. It's a road trip this upcoming week against Iowa.
9. Northwestern 5-2
Northwestern beat Purdue 19-0 for its fourth consecutive win of the year. The Wildcats had three running backs over 50 yards rushing. As a team, they ran the ball 50 times for 232 yards. Northwestern has Nebraska next.
10. Nebraska 5-2
It was a rough Friday night for the Cornhuskers as they fell to Minnesota 24-6. They'll look to rebound this week with a home game against Minnesota.
11. Washington 5-2
A three-interception day doomed the Huskies against Michigan, falling 24-7. Washington returns home this week to face 23rd-ranked Illinois.
12. Maryland 5-2
Maryland took the lead late in the third quarter but couldn't hold on as UCLA won 20-17. Quarterback Malik Washington was a bright spot for the Terrapins, throwing for 210 yards and a score, and also the leading rusher with 67 yards. Maryland is idle this week.
13. Penn State 3-4
The downward spiral continues this week for Penn State. They've lost their fourth game in a row, this time against Iowa, 25-24. A much-needed idle is next for the Nittnay Lions.
14. UCLA 3-4
What a turnaround so far for UCLA. The Bruins have won three straight and look to make it four, but it won't be easy against 2nd-ranked, undefeated Indiana.
15. Michigan State 3-4
Michigan State had a rough go at it against Indiana, losing 38-13. Next up is the rivalry game against Michigan.
16. Rutgers 3-4
It got ugly quickly for Rutgers against Oregon, losing 56-10. They allowed 28 points in the second quarter. Rutgers has Purdue this week.
17. Purdue 2-5
Speaking of Purdue, they failed to score against Northwestern 19-0 and have lost five straight.
18. Wisconsin 2-5
Ohio State blanked Wisconsin 34-0, and the Badgers had 49 passing yards. Things don't get any easier as they face Oregon on the road this upcoming week.
