More changes are happening under Kyle Whittingham.

There was another big staff move made by Michigan football on Tuesday, as it was reported by Pete Nakos of On3.com that Sean Magee, the general manager, will no longer be part of the U-M staff.

Kyle Whittingham, who was hired in December as the Michigan football head coach, kept Magee on, along with some others, at least initially.

Yet, it seems like some were on expiring contracts. Either way, Magee won't be the general manager anymore for Michigan football.

Magee isn't the only one leaving, though. Some others in the recruiting department are also leaving, according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider.

Kyle Whittingham making more changes

Magee did a great job for Michigan. He was hired under Jim Harbaugh, and was part of the reason the Wolverines were able to land Bryce Underwood. He understands roster building, and how to use Michigan's NIL resources.

But it's perfectly understandable for Kyle Whittingham to want to bring in his own guys. Robert Blechen was the general manager for Whittingham at Utah. He left the program after Whittingham did, but hasn't been hired anywhere else.

You wonder who Whittingham has in mind. Surely, others will come with whoever is hired, and Michigan football could actually expand its recruiting and personnel departments if we are being honest. You really can't have too many people in those departments, especially when you look at what other power programs are doing.

Whittingham has been aggressive with NIL. He needs a general manager that is willing to be aggressive, too, so it could be Blechen, or someonse else.

Either way, it's an important move that will tell us a lot about the direction Whittingham wants to do in terms of roster building.
