Recipe: Grilled Buffalo Wings
We are keeping it simple this week with a meal that always delivers and is a fun one to cook. Grilling wings is as simple as it gets and is always delicious.
Ingredients: Chicken wings, buffalo sauce, butter, salt, pepper, cayenne power, garlic powder.
I use a charcoal grill when grilling my wings. You will want to distribute the charcoal evenly along the bottom of your grill because you want good surface area for the heat. Fire up the grill and then get inside to work on your sauce. On direct heat, you will pour buffalo sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne (be careful if you don't like spice because a little goes a long way) into a pot. Make sure to continuously stir this mixture together while it heats up. After it is heated, remove your pot so it is off the heat. Add a half stick of butter to the mixture. Continuously stir the butter until it is fully mixed into the sauce. It is important to add the butter off direct heat so it doesn't break the sauce and remain separated. Season your wings however you would like before grilling. I personally like to add just salt and pepper. Throw your wings on the grill on direct heat and continuously flip them while cooking. Continuously flipping them while cooking will result in the best crust possible for the wings. The wings are done when you get an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Toss the wings in your buffalo sauce and pair them with your favorite dipping sauce. I like to eat my wings with ranch and blue cheese. You are ready to eat your wings and watch the Wolverines!

Beer of the Week: Barbarian Haze from 3 Floyds Brewing Company
Since Michigan football is playing Purdue, might as well pick one of my favorite beers from an Indiana brewery. Barbarian Haze is a delicious hazy IPA with an ABV of 6.5%. This is a hoppy but not overpowering IPA that is one of our favorites in our household.
Prop Bet of the Week: Bryce Underwood over 200 yards at +103.
I like this bet for a couple of reasons. The first is that Purdue's pass defense ranks 102nd in the nation. They are giving up an average of 252 yards per game. Michigan should be able to exploit this, and I expect them to try to as part of the game plan. The second reason I like this bet is because Michigan football is playing at home. Bryce is averaging 247 yards per game at home this season. He has not gone under 230 yards in all four games at The Big House this season. For these two reasons, I like Bryce over passing yards to put some extra money in our pockets. Go Blue!
