Recipe: Smoked pork shoulder on charcoal grill
Ingredients: Pork shoulder, mustard, barbecue seasoning, butter
Step 1: I like to use a pork shoulder between 7-8 pounds. Cover your pork with mustard as the binder. Give it a good, healthy coating, and then put your favorite barbecue seasoning on. Make sure you also give a healthy portion of seasoning, as that will help lead to a good bark.
Step 2: Fire up your grill and keep all charcoal on only one side of the grill. Add wood chips as needed for extra smoke, which adds more smoky flavor. You will end up cooking your pork shoulder on indirect heat the entire time. Let your grill heat up to 350-400 degrees.
Step 3: Put your pork on the grill. This is the easy part because I have learned that less is better when it comes to smoking pork shoulder. I do not like to do anything to the pork except check the temperature. This allows a nice bark to develop and capture all the good smoky flavor.
Step 4: The pork shoulder is finished cooking when it reaches an internal temperature of 200 degrees. Wrap the pork with butter and let it rest for 45 minutes to an hour. Then, shred and serve however you like. We are going to do sliders with barbecue sauce, coleslaw, and onion rings!.

Beer of the Week: Pixel from Phase 3 Brewing. Pixel is a delicious hazy IPA with an ABV of 6.5%. Pixel has notes of lime peel, pulpy grapefruit, tangerine and tropical fruits. Pixel has a nice easy, soft finish but still delivers with a crisp deliciousness. A really good beer to pair with your pulled pork sliders.

Prop Bets of the Week: Savion Hiter anytime touchdown scorer at -105 and JJ Buchanan over 65 receiving yards at -110.
The first bet I like is Savion Hiter anytime touchdown scorer. Hiter had a majority of the carries last week and Whittingham was very complimentary of his running style in his postgame comments. I expect Hiter to continue having a majority of the carries this week and one of those carries will end up in the endzone.
Michigan State has the 72nd ranked rushing defense in the nation and are missing two of their best defensive players in defensive lineman Ben Roberts and linebacker Jordan Hall. Michigan's run game has been nothing to celebrate this year but I think they have the advantage over Michigan State andthat will help lead Savion to scoring a touchdown.
The second bet I like is JJ Buchanan over 65 yards at -110. JJ is Michigan's clear No. 1 target this year. Last week, he caught a slot fade for a touchdown and then hauled in a one-handed first-down catch. He is a playmaker who, when given the chance, produces some special plays.
Michigan State's defense ranks 45th against the run. I am hopeful Michigan continues to target JJ in the redzone to add to his total yards. Lets hope Hiter and Buchanan help lead Michigan to a victory over little brother tomorrow. Go Blue!
