The spring transfer portal opens this week, and by all accounts, Michigan football is going to be a shopper looking to upgrade at wide receiver and offensive tackle.
Those have been the two positions that most Michigan football observers believe the Wolverines will try to upgrade, although some of the freshman wide receivers have turned heads, along with transfer Donaven McCulley.
True freshman Jamar Browder keeps getting mentioned and hauled in a highlight-reel reception that grabbed the attention of Michigan football fans across social media.
Yet, it still seems likey that a wide receiver will be added. An offensive tackle, one capable of being the starter, or at least competing for the job is another definite possibility. There haven't been any home-run additions added to the transfer portal yet, but one name to keep an eye on is former Ferris State offensive tackle Bryce George.
Michigan football showed during the winter transfer portal cycle that its not afraid to add offensive lineman from Ferris State, as they landed Lawrence Hatter, who is expected to join the team during the fall to compete at guard.

According to Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports, Bryce George, a D-2 All-American, also from Ferris State, will enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder was an All-American last season. He's been all-conference the past two seasons and could provide some competition for Evan Link.
Maybe Michigan football will aim higher. It's possible that it knows of some targets that will come available this week. Yet, George is an option and it feels like he could be a swing tackle at the very least.
We'll see if Michigan football shows any interest, but it feels like the Wolverines need at least one tackle this spring and George would be an ideal fit.
