Michigan football battles but Indiana wins the game

I feel like too many Michigan football fans are caught up in what Indiana used to be, based on the name. The Hoosiers are the No. 8 team in the country and frankly they should be ranked higher.

If Penn State and Indiana switched jerseys, the Hoosiers would be ranked No. 6. Not the Nittany Lions who are fresh off another loss to Ohio State.

I think Indiana might be able to beat the Buckeyes. They made mincemeat out of 5-4 Nebraska (56-7)and have won each Big Ten game by at least 14 points -- most of them by three scores or more.

These aren't your dad's Indiana Hoosiers. They have a veteran quarterback, a bunch of playmakers on offense and some toughness,. The defense is a little suspect and Michigan can make a game of it if the defensive line shows up and Warren plays clean.

But it will probably take a 200-yard rushing day from Michigan football to have a realistic chance and I just don't see that happening or the Wolverines covering the spread.

Prediction: Indiana 31, Michigan 16.
