For the second time in three weeks, Michigan football faces a huge test on the road. This time, Nebraska is the destination for the Big Ten opener.
The Wolverines have won four in a row over Nebraska football dating back to 2018. Nebraska's last win over Michigan came during the Brady Hoke days, back in 2013.
Matt Rhule is the Huskers' head coach now. He's 0-1 against Michigan. Nebraska is 0-25 in its last 25 games against ranked teams. Nebraska last beat a ranked opponent in 2016.
Michigan is a 2.5-point favorite. Plenty has been said about Bryce Underwood and Dylan Raiola, the two five-star quarterbacks, and the dude who plays better might just lead his team to victory.
So looking ahead to Saturday's game at 3:30 PM EST on CBS, here are five bold predictons with a pick against the spread.
Justice Haynes will run for over 100 yards
This game won't be like Oklahoma. The Wolverines ran for 143 yards, but 75 of them came on one play. Outside of that, Justice Haynes and Jordan Marshall averaged just 2.8 yards per rushing attempt.
Nebraska is allowing four yards per attempt this season. Every starting running back has averaged at least five yards per attempt. Those backs have gotten limited attempts. Nebraska has built a double-digit lead in each of its first three games, but still, four yards a carry is four yards a carry.
Justice Haynes leads the Big Ten in rushing yards. He will have at least one explosive run (20 yards or more) and will have over 100 yards for the fourth straight game. If Michigan is going to win, it might need 150 from Haynes and it needs more consistency.
