It's not very often that the Wolverines will lose recruits to the Badger state, but it appears that after a recent visit, they may be neck and neck. After his visit, Trae Taylor posted the following on social media:
"Spent the day (@BadgerFootball) had no intentions of ever going back. But have a wise dad. new staff, be open minded. Let's just say I'm sooo glad I listened. Had such a great experience this trip. Will be back in the spring."
Not only that, but it appears that Taylor may be doing some recruiting for Wisconsin as well. Commenting on Trenton Harris' post, a 2027 IOL, Taylor replied, "Here is the kid my dad was talking about. You will want to take a look at him, " tagging Wisconsin's QBs and WRs coach in the post.
It seems as if Wisconsin knocked it out of the park on his recent visit, which is safe to say, is not good news for Michigan football. It remains to be seen whether Taylor's enthusiasm for the Badgers can translate into a commitment, but this should serve as a wake-up call.
Taylor is out of Mundelein, Illinois. He's not ranked in the 247 Sports composite rankings right now but that should change in short order.
With National Signing Day still years away, Michigan football has time to reaffirm its pitch and ensure Taylor sees Ann Arbor as the best fit.
For now, Michigan football fans will have to keep an eye on Taylor's next move and hope that the Wolverines can turn the tide before Wisconsin can gain more momentum.
