A bridge quarterback would help the development of Bryce Underwood make the jump from high school to college even easier.

2. Cam Rising, Utah

Rising has not officially entered the portal as of today, but he is weighing his options on whether to play his eighth year of college football or go to the NFL. If Rising enters the portal, then he becomes a name worth gauging interest in. He has to apply for a medical hardship if he wants to return to college.

Rising was a Pac-12 champion who went to the Rose Bowl twice and has numerous wins over ranked teams. He would be the perfect guy to learn from for Bryce Underwood. His injuries would be a major concern, but with Underwood around, Michigan football wouldn't be in the same handicapped shape that they were in 2024.

Clutch sports believes that Michigan would be a good spot for Rising to transfer to if he can. A fresh, new start could be the right decision for his career. A plus for Rising is that he has multiple years of consistency to his credit. Aside from that, how would Underwood respond to this, especially if he has to sit for a while?
