3. 12-0 is a Very Real Possibility
I know I just got done saying how tough the beginning of the year is. But thinking about what Michigan football could be next year - a generational quarterback with a more dynamic offense, an elite recruiting class, guys coming back at key positions, (hopefully) plenty of aggressive and elite portal additions - Michigan could return to the top of the rankings in 2025.
And if Michigan has the talent that it could if it has a huge portal class, this is a very favorable schedule for going undefeated. Ohio State is the only team on Michigan's schedule who was ranked at the end of the 2024 regular season. And Michigan gets the Buckeyes at home to end the season, when Bryce Underwood should be playing his best football of the year.
Maybe its over-optimistic, but going 12-0 is definitely a possibility due to the lack of top ranked opponents. The Wolverines don't play Penn State, Oregon, or Indiana in 2025 (although Indiana will likely take a step back in 2025). If Michigan can put together a talented roster through the transfer portal, they could very well find themselves in the Big Ten Championship in 2025. Go blue!
