Dusty May wasn't lying about high school recruiting emphasis

Goodman isn't a traditional high school prospect, but May wasn't lying when he said he was going to emphasize traditional recruiting.

Grady was a really solid get and Goodman feels like he could wind up being a top-100 prospect in the composite rankings when it's all said and done.

Beyond that, May is a great evaluator. LJ Cason wasn't super highly-touted and he's going to play for Michigan basketball this season, a lot. So I trust what May sees and how he builds a roster.

Michigan was heavy on guards in the 2024 class. Justin Pippen, Durral Brooks, and Cason all signed so it makes sense to focus on forwards and wings as May did with Goodman and Grady.

However, he's not afraid to chase elite talent and Michigan basketball is now trending as the favorite to land five-star combo guard Trey McKenney according to the On3 prediction machine.

That would be a massive recruiting win for May and so far, you have to be impressed with his work on the recruiting trail.
