As the Michigan basketball team built a 17-point lead over the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday, it felt like the Wolverines were headed to a blowout win.

Yet, some of the same issues reared their ugly head. Still, the win over Indiana the fifth quadrant-1 win for a Michigan basketball team now ranked in the top 20 of the Kenpom rankings or NET rankings.

The Wolverines offense is ranked No. 23 according to Kenpom's adjusted ratings. The defense is No. 22, which means this team has Final Four potential. However, few teams have a Jekyl and Hyde nature as much as Michigan basketball and here are three things we learned from the 70-67 win.

Michigan is comfortable away from home

It's easy to look at the faults of this team. But Michigan basketball is 18-5. The Wolverines had a double-digit lead in four of those five losses and led at half in all except the blowout loss to Purdue, which can be avenged on Tuesday night.

It's tough to get quadrant-1 wins at home. Michigan doesn't have any right now but Saturday's win was the fifth quad-1 and all were on the road. Xavier is just outside the top 50 but Michigan also beat Virginia Tech on a neutral court.

That's seven wins on the road or a neutral court and that's a promising sign heading into the postseason.
