Can Illinois stop the run?

Regardless of who is playing quarterback, Michigan football is going to struggle if it can't run the ball. The good news is that Illinois is allowing opponents to get 149 yards per game on the ground.

Michigan is rushing for 191 yards per game. I remember in 2019 when Michigan played Illinois in a similar game and used Hassan Haskins to run all over the Fighting Illini.

This is the kind of game where the offensive line needs to step up and the two running backs need to dominate. Michigan is capable, but the Wolverines have to execute and they have to bully Illinois. If they can't, it's not a great omen for the rest of the season.
