On a cold, dark night in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines took care of business while getting some outside help in the standings from UCLA. Thanks to the Bruins, Michigan basketball can regain a share of first place with its next two victories or an unforeseen Nebraska loss before then. These are some of the takeaways from the humbling of Indiana's basketball bias.
Indiana made one basket in over 10 minutes
Five and a half minutes is how long it took the Hoosiers to crack the seal on the scoreboard. Reed Bailey's layup was their only bucket until around the nine and a half minute mark of the first half. During that period of time when they couldn't buy one, the ball did go through the hoop at the free-throw line for three points. The Hoosiers went 0-for-8 from the floor before they notched their first swish of the evening.
Big Ten schools have not won the national championship in football and basketball since 1960
Minnesota football and Ohio State basketball accomplished the rare feat 66 years ago. Ole Miss shared the title with Minnesota that year, so technically it wasn't since 1941 when it happened last. Minnesota won the football championship and Wisconsin captured the basketball crown. 85 years later Michigan, Purdue, Nebraska, Michigan State, Illinois and maybe even Wisconsin have a chance to repeat history with Indiana taking care of part one of the journey.

An Instagram post by Burke featuring his son was revealed on Tuesday that his alma mater will raise the number three into the rafters forever. This has been planned for a while now, and for all the moments that Burke created against the Buckeyes, plus the fact that he is from Columbus, makes this a night to be cherished.
