When the game was on the line at Iowa, Michigan basketball went to Aday Mara to put the Wolverines in the lead. Dusty May called the same play to end the first half that tied the score at halftime. Then, with under a minute to go, Mara snuck behind the defense again and lobbed it in from point-blank range. The result is a perfect road record. Here are some takeaways from the record-setting March road victory, matching a mark that lasted for 50 years when the 3-point line wasn't even invented yet.
This was the closest road game of the year
To get to 10-0 on the road, Michigan had to go through their most stern test of the season away from Crisler in March. With about six minutes left, the Wolverines enjoyed their largest lead of the night, but the Hawkeyes rallied to tie it with two minutes on the clock.
On Michigan's next possession, it almost committed a shot clock violation, but thanks to Mara's lucky bank shot, Michigan escaped another road venue that was ready to storm the court on them.
Dusty May has beat 16 of the other 17 teams in the big ten on the road (only Minnesota left). No other coach has beaten all 17. Dusty is in year 2.

Streaming games need to be televised
Every Michigan basketball game from here on out this season will be televised and not on a streaming network. For those who watched the Duke loss, it was one of the most-watched games of the season because it was on ESPN. It proves that people will gravitate in droves to catch a glimpse of a dream matchup like that one. NCAA tournament games will likely surpass those numbers, especially if Michigan, Duke, and Arizona all make it to the final four.
Michigan will play either UCLA, Ohio State or Iowa in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals
Locked in as the number seed and not playing until day four of the Big Ten tourney, Michigan will play one of these three schools to start their run in Chicago. All three are in the NCAA tournament for now, but would love to pad their resumes for the committee to leave no doubt with an upset. Iowa would be the last team that Michigan wants to rematch with, while beating Ohio State for a third time would make the rivalry even more favorable for the maize and blue. UCLA was the easiest to deal with.
