Going to Ann Arbor on a Saturday afternoon in the fall can be an exhilarating experience. Besides winning, there are other factors that would make someone want to come back to witness the spectacle that is the world's most famous stadium. Here are some ideas on how to revamp the Big House and keep it fresh for Michigan football fans.
Widen the seating
If you've ever gone to a game a Michigan stadium then you know what I'm talking about here. It's an absolute honor to have the largest crowd in America watching, but most of the time you have to squeeze into your seat just to experience the sea of humanity.
It would take a lot of work adjusting things around, but the comfortability it would bring would be like taking a load off. Not having backs on the seats takes it toll the older you get and that would eliminate some of the tension one feels when they are forced into a tight seat. This could be the hardest of the three because it's like adding a foot or so to every row and there is around 80 rows in each section.
Expand the bathrooms
Every overcrowded public event that is attended in a lifetime has long lines. It's just a unwritten rule of life. By adding more restrooms or improving the already existing ones, it would shorten the lines with more options to choose from and make people happier and able to travel in and out faster. Selling alcohol doesn't help for some, but to spend more money, the revenue has to come from somewhere else too.
Build a Zingerman's stand on the concourse
This would arguably be the most popular of the three and do wonders for the business. They could sell the sandwich of the month, their top 10 best sellers for purchase, or have one of their many specialties on display. The partnership would be a win-win for Michigan football fans in the home crowd and even the visitors. You can never go wrong by making a beloved delicatessen more accessible.
