3 keys to a win over Michigan State for Michigan football
Run the ball effectively
This is another must for Michigan football. The Wolverines have to be able to run the ball in this game with Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards or it's going to be another rough outing.
Mullings needs to get the ball over 20 times. It's kind of hard to believe, but he's only received more than 20 carries once all season. Donovan Edwards does need a role. He can create big plays on the ground and again, I wish this team would actually use his receiving abilities (I do not understand it).
The Spartans allow 3.8 yards per attempt on the ground, so it won't be easy. But just like Ohio State, the team that runs for more yards usually wins in this series.
That's going to be the key for the Wolverines and whether that means using Orji at quarterback or whatever, the run game has to deliver. It just has to.
