The unofficial start of Michigan's 146th football season is just days away. The Michigan contingent will swarm the Death Star in Las Vegas to enjoy the annual Big Ten media days next Thursday. Those who will be in attendance should consider asking some poignant questions to gauge the flow of how things in the program are leading up to the August 30th opener. Here are three burning questions that need to be given an update on.

1. Is the Bryce Underwood hype overrated or valid?

The Bryce Underwood topic should be a very popular subject for those who cover the Wolverines. He's the center of attention for in Ann Arbor and the suspense is growing about him on a daily basis. Camp begins a week later and the Big Ten network will be the only guests allowed to visit during fall practice in August to report on how he is progressing. No dates have been scheduled for any visitation yet. When it does happen, social media will be buzzing for the reports.

2. When will Rod Moore be fully healthy?

There still has been no definitive update on his status. The concern level is that he didn't appear to be ahead of schedule by the time he first started running, which was not too long ago. No one really knows anything besides speculation at this point. A realistic timeline would be ideal, but Michigan is known to be very secretive about its injured players. Any news on Moore would be welcomed with open arms.

3. Will Dominic Zvada break Jake Moody's 59 yard field goal record?

Having a special-teams ace like Dominic Zvada to use at any time during a game is an assurance that he's not going to miss is a luxury not many can afford. This offseason, he has routinely been booting 60-yarders like child's play. It feels like most would agree that they would be confident in Coach Moore letting him attempt a record-setting field goal, but what about adding 10 yards to that feat? Ove Johansson of Abilene Christian kicked a 69-yarder in 1976 that still stands to this day. Would Michigan dare let Zvada kick it from 70 against Central Michigan?
