The Jalen Milroe factor

It’s not a secret that Michigan football has struggled over the years against mobile quarterbacks. We all remember what Vince Young did to Michigan in the Rose Bowl after all.

Jalen Milroe isn’t quite that good, but he’s not super far behind what Young can do. Milroe did just lead Alabama to a win over Georgia, in what snapped a 29-game winning streak.

Milroe has 468 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. He also threw two touchdown passes against Georgia, so it’s going to be a massive challenge for the Michigan defense.

Keeping Milroe in the pocket and forcing him to be Michigan with his arm is going to be a focal point for the Wolverines.

Drew Allar having success running the ball gives me reason for concern. Jesse Minter needs to account for that and it’s one of the big question marks for Michigan going into this one.
