Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from a storybook win over OSU

2. Sherrone Moore is the first African American coach to win “thee game”
With no Jim Harbaugh once again, Sherrone Moore proved to the world why he is the hottest coaching commodity on the market. He went 4-0 without his boss and won at Penn State and outlasted the Buckeyes. His resume is arguably better than most of the other coaches in the country at power five jobs in a compact amount of time.
His offensive line outrushed the Buckeyes mainly because of Blake Corum. His unit didn’t miss a beat when Zak Zinter went down either. Coach Harbaugh and Moore had their men ready for their biggest threat, just like how they’ve dealt with things since the first suspension. That says a lot about the trust that this group has in each other.
Moore should easily win the Broyles Award as the top assistant coach in the nation. He outwit Jim Knowles on the other side of the spectrum.
This win validates it. With all the signature moments that he has had standing in for Harbaugh, it will be a delightful sight to see him back next Saturday with a chance for a three-peat.
