Blake was GREAT

I said that Blake Corum was going to have to be great for Michigan football to win this game and he was, especially in the second half.

There wasn’t much room against an improved Ohio State defense. The Buckeyes were determined to stop the run and U-M’s offensive line isn’t quite as good as it was a year ago.

But when it really mattered, Michigan football was able to run the ball. Corum’s 22-yard touchdown run is still the defining play of the game to me. It was well blocked, but his cutback was out of this world.

Against Penn State and Ohio State this season, Corum ran for 233 yards and scored four touchdowns. Jim Harbaugh talked about being in awe of Georgia and how it can run the ball when it really needs to, in any situation.

That’s what Michigan was able to do on Saturday, thanks to Blake Corum and the incredible efforts of the offensive line.
