5 predictions for Michigan football vs. Ohio State
More of a defensive battle
Last year, both offenses moved the ball really well. Michigan football has scored 87 points in the last two years over the Buckeyes. Ohio State has scored 50.
C.J. Stroud led the Ohio State offense to 25 points per game, so I have a hard time seeing McCord lead Ohio State to much more than that. Marvin Harrison Jr. is spectacular. I expect him to catch a touchdown and go for over 100 yards.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean Ohio State wins the game. The Buckeyes have thrown for over 350 yards two years in a row. Last year, Harrison and Emeka Egbuka both went over 100 yards receiving.
Michigan ran for nearly 300 yards. The Wolverines scored five touchdowns on plays of 45 yards or longer. I don’t expect that to happen again and I think both defenses will shine on Saturday.
This game reminds me of 1997 and I think the final score will give us a similar result — meaning the first team to 20 might win.
