An incredible group of Wolverines

Those who stay will be champions.

Bo Schembechler made those words famous and this group of Michigan football players — guys like Mike Sainristil, Michael Barrett, Kris Jenkins, Zak Zinter, Trevor Keegan, Blake Corum, and many others have lived it.

They were around for the hard times and never wavered. Sainristil caught the flea-flicker pass from Cade McNamara in “The Game” in 2021, only to make a decisive pass breakup in 2022.

Michael Barrett is the player with the most wins in Michigan football history. It wouldn’t shock me at all if Mikey, Barrett, and Jenkins made game-changing plays on Saturday. It’s what they have done for most of their careers.

This group which includes McCarthy, Will Johnson, Donovan Edwards, and too many others to mention, has already achieved incredible things: two Big Ten championships, two wins over Ohio State, and two playoff appearances.

As of right now, Michigan football has won seven straight games against Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan State. That would have seemed impossible a decade ago.
