Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from a top-10 win at Penn State

1. Old reliable strikes again for the Wolverines
When everything else fails, then turn to your old friend, the running game. That’s exactly what Coach Moore and his staff did on Saturday afternoon. They kept feeding Blake Corum and he delivered when the outcome was on the line. He carried it the most times that he has all season on Saturday.
Corum now has 18 rushing touchdowns and is second alone all-time in touchdowns for running backs. He may have sneaked his way back into the Heisman discussion because there is no clear-cut frontrunner at the moment. His wear and tear, thereafter, was an image on social media that went viral. Michigan fans won’t soon forget the captivating photo.
Donovan Edwards had his highest output on the ground in 2023. He only got 10 carries though and wasn’t showing the vision, on a few plays, that separates him and Corum. J.J. McCarthy’s legs were pivotal again as he picked up some important first downs when Michigan sorely needed them on fourth.
