5 predictions for Michigan football against Penn State
Michigan wins the rushing yardage battle
Running the ball isn’t going to be easy for either team. Penn State allows just 60 yards per game on the ground. Michigan football only gives up 90.
Going into the 2023 season, many felt that Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards were the best running back tandem in the country. Others felt that the due of Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen. Singleton is averaging four yards per carry, while Allen is at 4.8.
Blake Corum is averaging 5.2 yards per attempt. Edwards is averaging 3.1, although Kalel Mullings should be back and has averaged 6 yards per attempt.
Nothing will come easy. But I still believe in the Michigan offensive line. Corum will rush for a touchdown and Michigan football will outrush Penn State on the ground, even if it’s not by a huge margin like it was last season.
Michigan football vs. Penn State prediction
I have always felt this would be the most difficult game on the schedule. Penn State does match up well against Michigan and my hope is that all the sign stuff hasn’t distracted this team.
The Wolverines have been on a mission to win a national championship and while it won’t be easy, that mission survives Happy Valley.
