Top 4 CFP Prediction for Week 11: Where will Michigan football be ranked?
The CFP Playoff rankings will be released again and here are our predictions for Michigan football, as well as the top four.
Last week, we got our first glimpse of the College Football Playoff rankings and the committee answered a key question about Michigan football.
The worry was that the committee would try to punish the Wolverines for the investigations going on by the Big Ten and the NCAA.
However, the committee said that it was an NCAA matter and that their job was to rank the teams. On the field, there’s no question Michigan football has been among the most dominant teams in all of college football, having won each of their nine games by at least 24 points.
The resume isn’t as strong as Ohio State, Florida State, or Georiga, which just beat No. 12 Missouri. However, the Wolverines will get their chance this week at Penn State to score a signature win. They will also have the last game of the season against Ohio State.
Michigan football was ranked No. 3 during the CFP Rankings after Week 10 and here is our prediction for the top 4 in the CFP Week 11 rankings
Where will Michigan football be ranked in CFP Week 11 rankings?
The Wolverines have yet to be tested. I also understand the committee’s reluctance to rank them ahead of a team like Ohio State which has beaten Penn State and Notre Dame on the road, although that win, as well as the Wisconsin win, don’t look as impressive.
It’s wild to me that Ohio State was ranked No. 1 last week. Not because Michigan football deserved it but because Georgia does.
The Bulldogs still have the best team in my opinion and I’ll believe that until someone beats them. I think Michigan football will have a shot if Jim Harbaugh isn’t railroaded off the sidelines, but UGA should be No. 1 until further notice.
- Georgia
- Ohio State
- Michigan
- Florida State
The rankings will be released tonight at 7 PM EST on ESPN.
