Michigan football will be without starting safety Makari Paige on Saturday against UNLV plus other injury news.
We don’t know yet if Will Johnson or Rod Moore will return for Michigan football on Saturday against UNLV in the second game of the 2023 season, but we do know that starting safety Makari Paige will be out for a second straight week.
The Big Ten now requires teams to release availability reports ahead of their games and Michigan football’s came out on Saturday with Paige listed as out.
Moore and former five-star cornerback Will Johnson, who many are predicting will be an All-American this season, are listed as questionable. Both players missed the season opener last week against East Carolina, yet they each practiced earlier this week.
Other players that will be out for Michigan football on Saturday are Amorion Walker, running back Tavierre Dunlap, another running back in Benjamin Hall, linebacker Jimmy Rolder, and also defensive German Green.
Wide receiver Darrius Clemons is another player that’s questionable. Peyton O’Leary also missed the game last week and is another wideout questionable this week, but other than that, the injury report looks good for Michigan football against the Running Rebels.
