In our latest Michigan Wolverines news roundup, Jim Harbaugh has been suspended for three games by Michigan football, plus much more.

Michigan football will indeed be without Jim Harbaugh for three games this season as the Michigan Wolverines self-imposed a three-game suspension on their head coach.

We’ll see if that proves to be a wise move. I certainly have my doubts. Harbaugh has to be angry about having to miss three games this season and while I’m sure he agreed to it, Michigan football should have lawyered up and fought the NCAA tooth and nail.

All while making Jim Harbaugh among the highest-paid coaches in college football. There’s no reason Michigan football couldn’t sign him to an extension if it really wanted to.

All this mess about the NCAA stuff having to get out of the way before a contract extension could be done is the same as Michigan making excuses as to why it won’t get down and dirty with NIL.

Warde Manuel is the one who should be suspended or frankly out of a job because he stinks at his and has left the head coaches of the Michigan Wolverines to compete with one hand tied behind their backs.

In the long run, as long as Michigan football wins these three games and the NCAA accepts the penalty, it will all work out. But that’s a big IF.

Three Michigan football players named preseason All-American by AP

Not all of the news on Monday was bad. The Michigan Wolverines were well-represented on the AP preseason All-American team with three selections.

Running back Blake Corum and guard Zak Zinter were each First-Team selections, while cornerback Will Johnson earned his way onto the second team.

From Donovan Edwards to Kris Jenkins, J.J. McCarthy and Junior Colson, I feel like Michigan football has a lot of candidates to make the final All-American team, and my hope is that there will be more than three on the list by season’s end.

Ohio State still hasn’t settled on a quarterback

The Buckeyes appear to be in a similar boat to Michigan football before the 2022 season as they haven’t determined a starting quarterback between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown.

Ryan Day said he took a straw poll and it was a split decision. Maybe the Buckeyes will take their decision into the season as the Michigan Wolverines did last season.

Next. Final game-by-game predictions for 2023. dark

Regardless, Michigan football will have the better quarterback in 2023 and frankly, I don’t even think that’s a very bold prediction.
