Michigan football Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee No. 8: (Steve Hutchinson 2020)

The Michigan football program has turned out a lot of greats, especially in the trenches, and Steve Hutchinson is as good as it gets.

He was a second-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2001 NFL draft and proved to be a steal. He earned three Pro Bowl selections and was named First-Team All-Pro three times before signing a free-agent contract with the Vikings.

Hutchinson won a national title with Michigan, as well as an Orange Bowl title in 1999 and multiple Big Ten titles. He was also considered to be among the best left guards in the NFL throughout his career and made the All-Decade team for the 2000s.

Before his career was all said and done, Hutchinson finished with five First-Team All-Pro selections. He was Second-Team All-Pro on two other occasions and was a seven-time Pro Bowler from 2003-2009.

Hutchinson was one of the best ever at his position and was elected on his third attempt after being nominated in 2020.
