Final thoughts on Michigan and Bryce Underwood

Honestly, I think the most important thing in this recruitment is for the Wolverines to be playing in the national championship game on January 8th.

With Underwood committing on the 6th, being in the championship would be a huge last-minute boost for the Wolverines. It just makes the story that much better.

Barring some crazy developments, Michigan football will be a finalist in Underwood’s recruitment. They should be competing for his services until the day of his commitment.

This is the biggest recruitment of Jim Harbaugh’s tenure. If Michigan secures Underwood, they secure being a championship contender for the following three years at least. Underwood is that kind of player.

Right now, I think that Michigan has the lead. And with the way the dominoes are beginning to fall, there might not be a ton of top-tier competition. This one is setting up to be a Michigan vs LSU battle, and if it stays that way, I think Michigan wins out.
