In this Michigan football recruiting article, I look at the upcoming commitments of Aaron Scott and Bennett Warren and give my predictions for each.

Aaron Scott and Bennett Warren are set to announce their commitments on the 30th and 31st respectively. Both are top 100 players according to 247 Sports, and both are two of the top remaining targets for Michigan football.

Aaron Scott has been the biggest target at the cornerback position all cycle long, and the staff has given the Ohio star a lot to think about.

Warren has always been a top offensive line target for the Wolverines, but with five linemen already committed, the staff has been slowing things down. Warren remains the last offensive line target for the 2024 class.

Without further ado, let’s dive into each commitment individually, starting with possibly the biggest in the entire class.

The entire staff, Steve Clinkscale especially, has done a phenomenal job with Aaron Scott. A couple of years ago, it would’ve been the most unbelievable thing to think that Michigan football could steal the number one player in Ohio from Ohio State. Now, the Wolverines have a legitimate shot.

I’m not going to sugarcoat things, Ohio State is the safe pick here. They’re incredibly tough to beat for Ohio recruits, and this one will be the same.

The Buckeyes have done a good job, and the pressure to stay at home is immense in Ohio. With about a month since his last visits, you’ve got to imagine that people in Ohio have been all over Scott.

Michigan football has done absolutely everything it could do. From Charles Woodson reaching out to Will Johnson hanging with Scott and talking about playing together. In my eyes there isn’t a single thing the Wolverines could have done better with Scott. Which is why they have hope going into this one.

While Scott’s finalists are Oregon, Ohio State, and Michigan, this one is thought to be a Michigan vs Ohio State battle. Scott has said that he would fit in better with Michigan’s scheme, and he knows he could get early playing time.

With that being said, however, this feels like one that the Buckeyes are going to pull out. I think that a month ago, Michigan football had a lead and would have earned Scott’s commitment if he were to commit. With a month of hearing from everyone around him, however, I’ve lost that confidence.

This one could go either way, but I’m going to predict that Scott commits to Ohio State. This one won’t end until national signing day though.

Prediction: Ohio State
