In our latest Michigan Wolverines news roundup, Michigan football will be featured on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff for Penn State, a huge win in tennis, and more.

Michigan football fans are counting down the days to the start of the 2023 season. It was 100 days on Thursday and it’s fitting because we got some schedule news on Thursday too.

After some reporting that Michigan football wasn’t going to play Penn State at night this upcoming season, it was confirmed that the Michigan Wolverines and Nittany Lions will be featured on Big Noon Saturday presented by Fox Sports.

It was the same for Michigan football and Penn State last season at the Big House. Ohio State and Michigan State are playing a night game the same night which is what led people to believe the Wolverines and Penn State would play in the afternoon.

Regardless of the kickoff time, winning at Penn State isn’t easy and it won’t be in 2023. Drew Allar is expected to be a stud at quarterback and the Nittany Lions are loaded with talent. They could even be the biggest threat to win the Big Ten East.

Still, night games haven’t gone well for Michigan football at Beaver Stadium, and I’m thankful that the Wolverines won’t have to navigate that on top of everything else.

Ondrej Styler makes history for Michigan Wolverines in tennis

The Michigan Wolverines aren’t necessarily known as a tennis power, but they have put together a pretty solid campaign in 2022-23.

Michigan made the quarterfinals in the NCAA team tournaments and the winning continued in singles action as Ondrej Styler became the first Michigan men’s singles player to reach an NCAA final four in over 35 years on Thursday.

Styler clinched a berth in the semifinals on Friday after defeating top-ranked Eliot Spizzirri (Texas), 6-4, 6-3.
