Aaron Scott is one of the top targets on the board for Michigan football in the 2024 recruiting class and he’s now trending to Ohio State.

There has been a lot of good news for Michigan football on the recruiting trail lately, but it looks like at least one high-profile recruitment is going to go the way of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Michigan football has started to find success in the state of Ohio, most notably with Jordan Marshall, the third-ranked player in the state of Ohio in the 2024 class.

The Wolverines have also landed some other talented offensive line such as Luke Hamilton and Ben Roebuck out of Ohio, as well as Cameron Calhoun and others near the end of the 2023 cycle.

However, despite Michigan football making progress and being expected to get Aaron Scott on campus for an official visit, the Buckeyes have started to trend with expert projections to land the four-star cornerback as Chad Simmons, the lead expert from On3.com predicted Scott will be a Buckeye on Wednesday.

That’s the four predictions in the past month or so and the 6-foot, 170-pound corner from Ohio who is ranked 60th overall and seventh among cornerbacks, is being given a better than 96-percent chance of committing to Ohio State via the On3 prediction machine.

Steve Clinkscale and the Wolverines have done a stellar job in this recruitment and things might not be over quite yet. Ohio State is expected to get the final visit right now on the weekend of June 24th, but Michigan football will get its shot the week prior starting on June 16th.

That will be the third visit total this calendar year for Scott to Michigan. He also took a trip to Ohio State in April and has visited the Buckeyes six times total during his recruitment.

Another top option at cornerback is Bryce West, who is also from Ohio and will be a tough pull. West has also been trending with crystal ball projections to the Buckeyes, so it’s looking like Michigan football’s momentum won’t carry over the pair of elite corners Scott and West.
