15 best Michigan football NFL careers ever
12. Al Wistert, o-line/d-line
Former Michigan football player Al Wistert turned into one of the greatest Philadelphia Eagles of all time and was inducted into their Hall of Fame, as well as the College Football Hall of Fame.
Wistert hasn’t been selected for the Pro Football Hall of Fame just yet but he probably has a solid argument to make after earning four first-team All-Pro selections from the Associated Press.
The Pro Bowl wasn’t around for most of his career, so Wistert had just one Pro Bowl selection, yet he was a stellar offensive lineman, playing offensive tackle, guard, and defensive tackle.
Wisert played from 1943-1951 and is ranked third (tied) among Michigan football players in the NFL with four All-Pro selections. He also played a season for the Steagles, who were a combined team of the Eagles and Steelers during the 1943 season due to World War II.
