Michigan football has been trending in the right direction with Channing Goodwin and the Wolverines picked up more projections this week.

The Michigan football program has a tangible amount of recruiting momentum, especially after the commitment of Jordan Marshall and it’s not slowing down.

Hayes Fawcett, the On3 recruiting reporter that often designs announcement posts for recruits, tweeted shortly after the Marshall commitment that Michigan football “was about to go on a run.”

That’s music to the ears of every Michigan football fan. Of course, the Wolverines are hoping that five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis is in that mix.

The Wolverines got another crystal ball projection this week for Davis. The On3 prediction machine also gives Michigan football a 90-percent chance to win his commitment.

However, it’s hard to tell when a decision might come. The decision by Marshall was unexpected and more surprise commitments could be on the way.

Could a commitment be coming for Channing Goodwin?

One candidate to commit soon to Michigan football is three-star wide receiver, Channing Goodwin. The son of former Michigan offensive line Jonathan Goodwin has taken five visits to the Wolverines and not more than two with any other program.

Goodwin was on campus this month and Brice March of The Michigan Insider put in a crystal ball earlier this week. He was joined on Tuesday by Steve Wiltfong, the lead recruiting analyst for 247 sports, which means Goodwin has four total projections for U-M.

Goodwin is ranked 489th overall in the 247 sports composite rankings for the 2024 class, but the 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver is 241st in 247 sports own rankings for 2024. Goodwin is also a teammate of Davis and a commitment could help the Wolverines with the five-star QB.

Whether it’s Goodwin, Davis, or a pair of four-star offensive linemen, the Wolverines are trending with a number of key recruits in 2024 and it seems like a number of commitments will be coming very soon.
