Michigan football star Blake Corum updates his timeline to return from injury, the Michigan Wolverines win a bunch of championships, and more.

The Michigan football team is currently taking part in spring practices. But one guy that’s not participating on the field is former Heisman contender Blake Corum.

Corum hurt his knee in the Michigan football win over Illinois last November, but after playing just a snap against Ohio State, the running back missed the rest of the 2022 season including the Fiesta Bowl against TCU.

The Michigan football running back got surgery on his knee and he spoke to the Associated Press this week about his recovery:

"“I’ll be back definitely by fall camp,” Corum said this week. “I plan on doing everything in the summer workouts, depending on what doctor says. He told me I shouldn’t be cutting until maybe June. I’m taking my time, but I will be ready by the season.”"

That’s good news for the Michigan football team, which likely would have had a better chance of winning the national title a season ago had Corum been able to play in the playoff.

Next year, the Wolverines will quite possibly the best running back tandem in college football with a healthy Corum and Donovan Edwards.

Championships galore for the Michigan Wolverines

Saturday was a pretty incredible day for the Michigan Wolverines. For starters, heavyweight wrestler Mason Parris wrapped up his national championship and a perfect season. Parris is now a four-time All-American too.

It was great to see him wrap up a national title on the mat, but the Michigan Wolverines also captured their second straight Big Ten hockey championship thanks to a 4-3 win at Minnesota.

The Wolverines will open the NCAA hockey tournament next week. They made the Frozen Four a year ago and hopefully, this time around, they can win the whole thing. Michigan did just beat the No. 1 team in the country (Minnesota) on its home ice.

The Michigan Wolverines also won another Big Ten title in women’s gymnastics with a score of 198 points to beat out Michigan State. Abby Heiskell also won the All-Around Big Ten title.

More Michigan Wolverines

In case you happened to miss it, the Michigan basketball team suffered an embarrassing defeat against Vanderbilt, totally collapsing in the game’s last minute.

Games scheduled for Michigan baseball and Michigan softball were also canceled on Saturday due to weather.
