Michigan football quarterback J.J. McCarthy made the quarterback list and was ranked as the seventh-best quarterback in college football heading into the 2023 season.
On Wednesday, the running backs were released and not only did Corum earn the top spot, but he wasn’t the only Michigan football player in the top 10 as Donovan Edwards also cracked the top 10 after his stellar sophomore season.

Early odds released for key Michigan football games
Looking ahead to next season and speaking of Ohio State, the odds for next season’s biggest games have already been released and Michigan football is favored right now against Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State.
It’s February, so it really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but it’s been a long time since the Michigan Wolverines were favored against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The early line is Michigan -1.
The Wolverines are 15-point favorites against Michigan State and a 1.5-point favorite going on the road against Penn State. These are all according to Fanduel.
Key basketball games for Michigan Wolverines
The Michigan basketball men’s team will travel to Rutgers on Thursday night for a critical game if the Wolverines want to improve their NCAA tournament hopes. They need to win at least three of their next four games and Rutgers will be a huge challenge.
Rutgers is currently listed as a six-point favorite (via Draft Kings). However, there’s reason to feel confident about Michigan basketball’s ability to win outright, as well as cover the spread.
That game will tip-off at 8:30 PM EST. Michigan women’s basketball will also play tonight against Rutgers, but the game will be in Ann Arbor.
The Michigan Wolverines came up short on Monday at home against Ohio State and this is a must-win for Michigan if it wants to keep a top-four seed. Michigan was a No. 3 seed in the early bracket reveal for the women but have lost two games since then.
Rutgers and Wisconsin on Sunday both have losing records, so Michigan women’s basketball can’t afford to slip up. The game tonight tips at 7 PM EST.
