3. Indiana leaned on Jackson-Davis and Hood-Schifino exclusively

Almost every time down the court either Trayce Jackson-Davis or Jalen Hood-Schifino would get a bucket for Indiana.

At one point during the game, the duo scored 19 straight for the Hoosiers. The two combined for 49 of Indiana’s 62 points. Both of them showed why Indiana is getting hot at the right time.

Jackson-Davis shot a smidge under 50%, while Hood-Schifino was slightly better at a notch above 50%. Jackson-Davis remains on a consistent tear during this critical juncture for the Hoosiers.

Overall they have won eight of the last nine and are alone in second place in the Big Ten standings for now.

The senior leader had a double-double and has managed to score in double figures every time out this season. As the announcers mentioned in the broadcast, he is playing at a player-of-the-year level. He gets to go one-on-one with Purdue’s Zach Edey one more time to state his case for winning the prestigious award.
