Michigan Basketball: 3 takeaways from a gratifying win over Ohio State
By Nick Popio
3. The big three guided the way
Hunter Dickinson, Kobe Bufkin, and Jett Howard are the three best players on the team and that is rarely disputable. They directed the offense today and combined for 55 points in the win. That is how Michigan will win games in this league at such a critical time in this juncture. If all three are on, then Michigan is tough to beat.
Bufkin continues to play with a purpose. His work ethic that people have been raving about is certainly paying off for him on both ends of the court. Howard made some hard shots on the afternoon, but that is why he is so highly regarded when it comes to the NBA. As these three go, so goes the season for the rest of the squad.
Will Tschetter missed his second game in a row. He didn’t play on Thursday because of flu-like symptoms and that was probably the case for the Ohio State win as well.
He has become a fan favorite with his hustle and tenacity coming off the pine. Getting him to return for some minutes will only benefit this club down the stretch.
