In our latest Michigan Wolverines news roundup, Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh had another meeting with Denver, its championship week, and more.

The rumors of Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh going to the NFL never seem to stop and it’s like reporters just can’t help talking about it.

I love Adam Schefter, who is a Michigan alum and works for ESPN, but he reported on Saturday about a visit that Denver ownership took to Ann Arbor to meet with Jim Harbaugh last week.

Obviously, nothing came out of the meeting or interview or whatever you want to call it. I get its news and I don’t blame Schefter, but it’s getting old.

Harbaugh is staying at Michigan football and this meeting only makes me believe that further. If Harbaugh wanted a shot at the NFL, it seems like Denver was plenty interested in giving him that opportunity.

Harbaugh still announced he was coming back to the Michigan Wolverines and while you can never say never my guess is we are closer to being done with the Harbaugh to NFL rumors for good.

A Michigan football alum will reach Super Bowl

There is a former Michigan Wolverine on each of the four teams playing to reach the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Chad Henne won’t be starting for Kansas City as Patrick Mahomes is expected to, however, the Chiefs also have former Michigan football pass-rusher Frank Clark, who had a sack last week in the win over the Jaguars. Mike Danna is another former Wolverine on the Chiefs.

The Bengals have a couple of former Michigan football players in defensive back Dax Hill, who was a first-round pick in 2022, as well as former running back Chris Evans.

Michigan’s presence isn’t quite as large in the 49ers-Eagles matchup. Two Michigan football players — Mo Hurst and Ambry Thomas are on the San Franciso roster but won’t play in this game due to injury. Brandon Graham does play for the Eagles though.

Graham is well known for his Super Bowl sack of Tom Brady and he’s been a key cog on the Eagles’ defensive line all season long.

So if you don’t have an NFL team still in the mix, there are still plenty of reasons for Michigan football fans to be cheering on championship Sunday.

Michigan Wolverines get a big win in hockey

The Michigan Wolverines hockey team has now won three straight games over top-10 teams as Luke Hughes scored four goals to rally Michigan from a 2-0 deficit to beat Penn State on Saturday.

Michigan also defeated Penn State on Friday night by a score of 7-3 and it seems like the Wolverines are rounding into form at the perfect time. They are ranked seventh in the NCAA and should be moving up. They are also 8-8 in the Big Ten, as well as 16-9-1 overall.

Key game for Michigan basketball

It’s another important game for the Michigan basketball team on Sunday as the Wolverines head to Penn State. We break down the odds, preview the game and offer a prediction.

With Michigan at 11-9, this really is a must-win game. Jett Howard is a game-time decision and if he’s able to go, I’d feel much better about the Wolverines’ chances.
