3. A lot more losses appear to be on the horizon

With the schedule as treacherous as it is, Michigan is staring at a losing record in the mirror. They can arguably lose about 10 more games and that will put them out of the postseason conversation in 2023.

The subtractions of Frankie Collins, Brandon Johns, Zeb Jackson, and those who went to the pros are looming large for a unit that can’t find any solutions to it.

In their absence are young guys who have barely played and it shows. Isaiah Barnes and Will Tschetter are more like MAC-level players.

Jace Howard is not as good as his brother is, but they give effort and that’s about all they can do at the present time. That means that it’s going to be Hunter Dickinson or else the rest of the way for a down season.

Besides the Arizona State loss Michigan basketball has hung in with everyone that they have lost to. That won’t matter in March unless they start to win some of these that they are not supposed to.

That’s going to be a challenge for a squad that is lacking depth and doesn’t know how to win tight games yet.
