5 bold predictions for Michigan Football against TCU in Fiesta Bowl
Colston catches another TD
Colston Loveland has really emerged in the last three games for Michigan football. He caught touchdowns against Purdue and Ohio State but also had two explosive catches against Illinois.
TCU might be able to match up fairly well with Michigan when it comes to the receivers, but I don’t know that they’ll be able to stop Loveland. Michigan runs the ball at you with its big tight ends and it plays perfectly into the play-action.
My bet is that Michigan actually comes out throwing, a little like the Purdue game. The body blows will work and at some point, on a play fake, McCarthy is going to find Loveland again in the end zone for at the very least, another explosive play.
Michigan vs TCU score prediction
The bottom line is that I believe Michigan is the better football team and better in the trenches. One thing we’ve learned over the years watching SEC teams is that dominating the trenches leads to victories.
TCU is going to make explosive plays and score points. I expect them to get close to 30 which is a barrier no team has reached on Michigan this season.
But the offensive line and defensive lines will win this game. The skill guys on both sides of the ball feel similar enough to me. There are dudes everywhere.
However, I see Michigan football outplaying the Horned Frogs up front and that will lead to a 37-27 win in a game that’s close throughout and is iced by a late Jake Moody field goal.
