This is Michigan football’s last chance to prove themselves before The Game

The Game is quickly approaching us. We’re now down to 10 days and counting until Michigan football and Ohio State matchup in the game of the year.

There is a lot on the line this year, with the playoff field being very competitive. Despite both of these teams undoubtedly being among the top four in the country, without help, the loser will be eliminated from playoff contention.

With that being said, Michigan football has not played a full, mistake-free game of football yet. That’s scary in multiple ways. For one, if they’re able to piece everything together, they could win a National Championship. On the other hand, if they continue to struggle in certain areas, their season could end on November 26th.

Illinois is Michigan’s last chance to get some real momentum going into The Game. Yeah, yeah, they’re 10-0 and definitely have a lot of momentum already, but so is the other team that’s going to be playing on November 26th. Michigan football would love a start-to-finish utter domination against Illinois this week to propel themselves to Columbus.

We saw it last year against Maryland the week before Ohio State. Michigan won 59-18 and gave Ohio State LOTS to worry about. It was complete domination and the team was firing on all cylinders. Michigan is yet to have a game where they’ve perfectly executed, but this week is a final chance to do just that.

Here are some things that I’m going to be watching for as the Wolverines take on the Fighting Illini
