It’s been a good weekend for Michigan football and it got even better watching Aidan Hutchinson intercept Aaron Rodgers.

Michigan football fans are used to seeing Aidan Hutchinson do amazing things but on Sunday, one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks got an idea of what the former Wolverine great can do.

Facing a fourth-and-goal at the Lions’ one-yard line of a 0-0 game on Sunday, the Packers decided to get cute and leak out offensive lineman David Bakhtiari for a pass play instead of running the ball or running a typical pass play.

And it might have worked if it wasn’t for Aidan Hutchinson. It looked like Rodgers had his man open but he put a little too much loft on the ball, especially with a 6-foot-6 athletic freak like Hutchinson lurking, and lo and behold, the Michigan football great grabbed his first career interception.

If you missed it, here is Hutch picking off Aaron Rodgers.

Aidan Hutchinson continues his strong rookie season

Hutchinson has had a stellar season so far for the Lions. He had one game with three sacks earlier this season and also had a multi-sack game against the Dallas Cowboys.

So opposing fans and other Michigan football critics have tried to say that Hutchinson was overrated, probably by the same folks that said he shouldn’t have finished runner-up in the Heisman Trophy voting after Hutch destroyed their QB a few times on a snowy day in Ann Arbor.

So far, Hutchinson has 18 tackles, nine QB hits, seven tackles for loss, and now an interception. The guy just knows how to make plays and so far, as a Detroit Lions fan too, I’m feeling really good about the pick that Aidan Hutchinson.

Hopefully, he haunts the dreams of Aaron Rodgers or whoever plays QB for the Packers and the rest of the NFC North for years to come.
