Michigan Football: 5 bold predictions for Wolverines’ last five games
Donovan Edwards hits 1,000 yards from scrimmage
Michigan football fans have been waiting for Donovan Edwards to have a true breakout performance and boy did he ever against Penn State with 194 total yards and two touchdowns.
The 67-yard touchdown run from Edwards changed the game in the third quarter and he totaled 173 yards before it was all over. The former five-star running back started the season strong but has been limited due to injury but finally looks 100 percent healthy.
Edwards has 395 total yards from scrimmage now so he would need 605 yards from scrimmage over the next five games to hit 1,000. But in the past two seasons, Edwards has had at least one game of 170 yards rushing and 170 yards receiving.
The Wolverines need to start taking advantage of that talent and I think they will. Edwards should get some more carries with Corum needing a bit of a rest and with some more passes going his way too, around 120 total yards per game is very doable.
