Many fans wondered how the Wolverine defense would respond against a dominant Maryland offense, and against an elite Iowa defense.

Michigan football is firing on all cylinders right now. The defense has proved it can step up when the time comes, and a once questionable pass rush — while not totally fixed — looks to be heading in the right direction.

This comes as bad news to the reeling Hoosiers who unlike Michigan, are not hitting their stride dropping their last two games (Cincinnati and Nebraska) by a combined 35 points.
