In this week’s edition of our staff roundtable, we preview the game against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Who wins, and why?

Kinnick Stadium is truly a place where as Jim Harbaugh said “top 5 teams go to die”.  In fact, he has never beaten the Hawkeyes in Iowa City. Not as a player, and not as a coach.

The Wolverines in other eras haven’t favored as well either.

It’s been nearly 20 years since Michigan football went into Iowa City and won. Will this week be different? We certainly hope so.

Iowa having issues on offense is an understatement. They are the definition of going from bad to worse — looking putrid at times last year and enduring nausea at times this season.

Their defense has outscored their offense in games nearly 2-1. So they aren’t the issue.

If Michigan football can control the game, and not commit unforced errors, then they should win this game. But doing that in a hostile environment like Kinnick isn’t always easy, and that’s why they haven’t been able to walk out of that stadium with a win in years.

Will they finally get the Iowa City road curse off their back, or will Michigan let history continue to repeat itself? That’s what we discuss this week in the Iowa edition of our staff roundtable. Enjoy.
