Best Michigan vs Iowa Bet

Iowa put up 27 points in each of its last two games, but don’t get confused: this offense is horrible. Spencer Petras is completing just 51.1 percent of his passes and has yet to throw for more than 175 yards in a game. He’s got one TD and two interceptions on the season as he’s looked completely overwhelmed.

That’s an issue against a Wolverines defense that ranks 28th nationally in opponent rushing yards per game. If the Hawkeyes can’t move the ball on the ground or through the air, it’s tough to envision how they score.

Michigan, meanwhile, averages the ninth-most rushing yards per game (234.3) in the country. Blake Corum has nine TDs in just four games and comes off a stellar performance in which he ran for 243 yards and a pair of scores.

Iowa does have a stellar defense, but Michigan has too much talent. The Wolverines average 50 points per game and should wear down the Hawkeyes’ defensive unit over time.

Betting trends support Michigan as well. The Wolverines are 6-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last eight games as a favorite, while Iowa is just 4-7 ATS in its last 11 contests.
